Hi Felipe, I've pushed a commit removing this image. It doesn't make sense to make a new release so soon. Is it practical for you to cherry pick that commit?Andrés On Wed, Jan 15, 2014 at 12:44 PM, Felipe Sateler <[hidden email]> wrote: On Wed, Jan 15, 2014 at 5:52 PM, bastien ROUCARIES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CenturyLink Cloud: The Leader in Enterprise Cloud Services. Yes, I can remove the file from the tarball and cherry pick any other necessary changes. I hope to update the csoundqt package this week. -- Saludos, Felipe Sateler ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CenturyLink Cloud: The Leader in Enterprise Cloud Services. Thanks. If you cherry-pick the commit, this should remove the file from the repo too. Cheers,Andrés On Thu, Jan 16, 2014 at 12:06 PM, Felipe Sateler <[hidden email]> wrote:

Andres,
I'm trying to update csoundqt in debian, but I hit a problem and not quite sure how to solve it. The problem is that the qmake files seem to assume a csound source tree lying around somewhere, but I need to build against the system installed version of csound. Is this possible with the right variable settings? Or would I need to patch the build system? If so, some guidance as to what needs to be patched would be appreciated. Thanks! Hi,
please have a look to http://sourceforge.net/p/csound/wiki/Building%20CsoundQt%20for%20Csound6%20on%20Debian-Ubuntu/
I think you need to set something CSOUND_LIBRARY_DIR=/usr/local/lib/something CSOUND_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/local/include/csound
... dependig of course where you csound6 installation is.
Hope you get further!
If you still get errors, please send what are the messages and what is output of your qmake command.
best!

A follow up: I set CSOUND_SOURCE_TREE=/dev/null and I could build and
run csoundqt. The workaround certainly feels hackish, though. Hi, Sorry for not replying sooner... Actually setting CSOUND_SORCE_TREE is not really a hack, it's a quick way of setting up the environment if you are building Csound from source, so if it works, it's good.Andrés On Fri, Jan 31, 2014 at 6:09 AM, Felipe Sateler <[hidden email]> wrote: A follow up: I set CSOUND_SOURCE_TREE=/dev/null and I could build and ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Managing the Performance of Cloud-Based Applications Take advantage of what the Cloud has to offer - Avoid Common Pitfalls. Yes, I saw that in the instructions as a help for a self-built csound. But the problem is that in unix, the CSOUND_SOURCE_TREE *must* be set to something to avoid overriding the other variables with your personal (default) paths. In other words, C_S_T is not optional (I think it is in the other platforms). -- Saludos, Felipe Sateler ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Managing the Performance of Cloud-Based Applications Take advantage of what the Cloud has to offer - Avoid Common Pitfalls.
