Hi John,

[Forwarding to the CsoundQt mailing list in hope someone might have other ideas - please reply all to make sure John gets the replies]

What a strange error. It seems you might be trying to read or write something that you don't have permission too. Maybe you are trying to run CsoundQt without having copied it to the Applications folder?

Does that happen with all csd files?

Cheers,
Andrés

that there is something wrong with the csound installation.

What happens if you open terminal and run csound from command line?
Can you try to unintall csound and reinstall?

tells that you are probably using "Run in Term" in CsoundQt. What happens if
you press just "Run" Do you get any messages to the console?

greetings,
tarmo

Thanks for you note, Andres. It does happen with all csd files. I'm running CsoundQT from the applications folder, and I've tried running Csound from both the mounted disc and the applications folder. I have full read & write access in both places. Maybe a trip to the Genius Bar is in order...

Thanks again,
John

Thanks for your note, Tarmo. When I "Run" instead of "Run from Terminal," nothing happens--no message, no result. I've tried reinstalling both CsoundQT and Csound, too. I might see if they can provide any insight down at the Apple Store.

Best,
John

Sorry if I missed it, but can you run Csound from the command line without any issues?
